Mr. S. J. Bisdee, Tasmanian Notes. Turning now to a few of Mr. Alister Clark’s productions, thre are several things which I have seldom, if ever, seen mentioned in Rose reports sent to the “Annual” year by year. I would much like to see his pink climber Bonnie Doone grown by more rosarians. It came out just prior to the War from Brundrett’s nurseries, and is a really lovely deep pink of beautiful form and unsurpassed fragrance. It is only a medium-sized bloom, but a delightful thing in every way and most refined. The only fault with the plant is a tendency to defoliation.

Mr. S. J. Bisdee, Tasmanian Rose Notes. Mr. Clark’s climber, Bonnie Doone is growing well and is a persistent bloomer. Its fault, so far, is a tendency to defoliate, but the plant is not in a good situation. It is a lovely pink Rose of medium size.
Book  (1943)  Page(s) 84.
