Ringlet (Clark, introduced by Brundrett, 1922). 'Ernst Morel' x 'Betty Berkeley'. This putative hybrid between a tea rose and a Hybrid Perpetual has produced a cluster-flowered climber which grows fairly vigorously to 4m (plate 68). The scented flowers are single, medium sized (6 cm),and white with pink edges, rather like 'Fruhlingsmorgen' and other Scotch hybrids. The pink edging is marbled or flecked, not a continuous strip of colouring. The plant has bright green leaves and few prickles, and it repeats well.

....and the less well-known ‘Ringlet’, a white rose edged in soft pink. this can be treated as a small climber or a large bush. It seems not to have aroused great excitement in the days following its release, for at that time single roses were out of favour. With interest in them now revived ......perhaps ‘Ringlet’ will come into its own.
