Introduced in United States by Peony Gardens of George Hollis in 1906 as 'Flash Light'.
Class:
Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Crimson - pink, amber center, darker shading.  Tyrian rose.  Mild, medicinal fragrance.  Very large, Japanese (anemone, imperial) bloom form.  Early.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  Dark foliage.
