The flowers are mostly fragrant, and all are double, unless denoted otherwise. They are perfectly hardy, and will withstand the winters of our most northern States and the Canadas. They bloom in May, ten to fifteen days before the Chinese Herbaceous varieties. The following are imported varieties. Cette plante a les pédoncules droits; les fleurs, de 15 à 18 centimètres de diamètre, sont pleines, de forme bombée, laissant apercevoir quelques rares étamines dun beau jaune, entremêlées avec les pétales du centre coloré d'un beau rose foncé, vif, égal sur les fleurs, fraîchement ouvertes, pâlissant un peu plus tard vers l'extrémité des pétales; le feuillage, large et d'un vert foncé, n'offre rien de particulier. Nous recommandons cette jolie variété qui sera certainement recherchée par les amateurs. HENRY.
