Belinda's Dream, March 2018
Lost her in a storm and recently replanted this Spring (2024). Flowers generously with big healthy blooms. Since planting, has already gifted the garden with 6 blooms and more buds on the way. A definite favorite.

It's gorgeous as shown in my picture from spring. So, why did I remove it? The blooms fade a lot in summer and don't keep the gorgeous spring pink color. I'm in zone 6 NJ and even with a mild winter I'm always having to prune dead canes. Plus it wants to be taller than I prefer and I've got enough pruning on my plate. It has a scent but it is not strong. Lastly the foliage doesn't look uniformly colored as others. There are so many roses out there...I want to try something else. If I had more space I'd definitely keep it because it is healthy and has great big beautiful blooms. It was a tough decision to remove it.
