E. F. Allen:
'Simon Robinson'. As I predicted this makes a perfect tub plant since it needs no spraying and is always in flower. The non fading mid pink flowers normally have five petals; four is the exception.

'Simon Robinson', (R. wichuraiana x 'New Penny'), a dwarf spreading shrub, by Robinson, with non fading, mid pink single flowers and wonderful glossy foliage. There are normally only four petals which are unusually thick textured and I think that this variety would look well in a tub or when grown as a standard.  Trial Ground Certificate.

In the summer of 1984 BARB offered....Thomas Robinson was a well known name for Miniature roses in the early days, and a descendent of the firm is back in business, based in Guernsey. He has been breeding Miniatures with, I believe, Wichuraiana types, and offered six varieties for the first time, He also had a cross between a miniature and a species, which proved an interesting plant, single, pink and remontant. It is 'Simon Robinson' (Trobwich).
