HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

 Dr. A. S. Thomas:
.....we want no more instances of similarity like  'Souvenir de Mme. Boullet' and 'Sallie Lewis'.
Book  (1953)

p78.  Dr. A. S. Thomas: 'Souvenir de Mme. Boullet' blooms very early in the spring and, at that time, many of the flowers are little more than very deep cream. Later, in the summer and autumn, the colour is almost incongruously a deep cadmium yellow but the size, form and lasting properties of the spring blooms have disappeared. The differences are so marked in every way that, if we did not know this rose so well, we would find it hard to believe that the one plant produced the blooms. ‘Sallie Lewis’ is identical with 'Souvenir de Mme. Boullet'

Souvenir de Madame Boullet is, in my opinion, an ideal rose for a standard.

Lady Belper (Verschuren, 1948) has the deep copper colourings of Margaret Dixon Hamill or the autumn blooms of Souvenir de Mme. Boullet...
Magazine  (Mar 1952)  Page(s) 1. trimester, p. 4.

p111. Mr. A. Brundrett, Narre Warren North, Vic.  Six Indispensables
Souv. de Madame Boullett is first favourite in the gold class and this variety probably picks more blooms per plant per season than any other variety, despite its tendency also to come large, pale and coarse, in the spring blooming.
... Both Souv de Madame Boullet and Picture are so quick to mature and early to start secondary growth, that when plants are kept moist throughout the season, they will produce one crop of blooms more than other normal varieties.

p113. Mr. H. Brunning, Victoria.  Six Indispensables
Souvenier de Madame Boullet. Cadmium yellow in colour is a hardy rose that can be recommended for all types of soil, and under any conditions.

Climbing Souvenir de Madame Boullet is one of the earliest, and the beautiful foliage unfolds well ahead of the others...
