Bred by Louis Xavier Joseph Miellez père (France, circa 1819). Bred by Unknown Dutch origin (Netherlands, before 1820).

Dark red. [Deep pink or light purple.].  Small, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Leafy sepals buds.

Armed with thorns / prickles.
