Another Rose more readily obtainable that has given me great satisfaction is Julie Strahl. I don't know of any Rose which comes more perfect straight from the plant to the show bench. A good large Rose, but it has its fault; the neck is weak and the foliage is slightly prone to mildew. Nevertheless, it is a fine Rose, in a colour that is not commonly known in exhibition varieties.

New Roses 1930.  Julie Strahl (HT.  Leenders 1928) The buds are of light nasturtium red, and turn to peach pink as the flower opens. Growth strong with good foliage. Blooms are large and of a clear carmine colour, and branching.  A pretty decorative. Strong tea scent. 15 to 18 petals.   5/- each.

[Name of rose missing] Végétation vigoureuse et buissounante.Superbe feuillage, vert foncé brillant, résistant au mldiew. Splendide bouton, grand et pointu, d'une très noble forme, isolé sur pédoncule long. Fleur grande et pleine,
ouvrant toujours bien. Coloris sensationnel, rouge capucine sur fond jaune d'or, à l'épanouissement passant  graduellement au jaune d'or et pense à Wilhelm Kordes. Très florifère. Fortement et délicieuseinenl parfumée. Elle est une des roses, les plus parfumées, et nous la recommandons pour les buts.
