Novelty Roses 1962. Majeure (HT. Jackson & Perkins 1960) So far this rose has not come up to expectations with us. The orange red buds are very vivid but the growth has been poor in our nursery. A seedling from 'Madame Meilland'. 8/6 each.

Majeure HT. (Combe 1960) Orange red buds which open to magnificant form. A seedling from 'Mme. A. Meilland' and retains all the characteristics of that famous rose. Has not flowered in our Nursery but should be something special.

Out of all those introduced in the past several years, one that is quite outstanding for us is Tanya, introduced by Jackson Perkins, a seedling of Mme. A. Meilland. The colour is excellent with a red-orange bud; the pointed form of the deep orange flower will be perfect for rose shows. It opens to five inches in diameter.
