In the 1914 catalogue of Peter Lambert, Sphinx is mentioned in the group of the Nordlandroses, a group created by R. Geschwind. Peter Lambert marked his roses with a frame around the name and Sphinx hasn't any frame, so it is probably not a rose bred by P. Lambert. Can it be an introduction of a Geschwind rose?
