This rose is closer to what we regard as a tea, it has a good tea fragrance. The european teas originated from this type of rose

Mr Ueda emailed me the following info
The rose was planted a back garden of a rest tea shop along the approach to religious temple of Mt. Omei. The shop manager said that he got the rose from a farmer at the foot of the mountain.
I think that the rose is originated from ancient China rose, because the flower of the rose emit typical Tea and China roses (see pdf.file of our article, S-9-1 is the rose).
