From the Dingee Guide to Rose Culture 1918, page 48:
"MME. JEAN SISLEY - This is a fine variety for cemetery planting, being full and double, and in color pure white. Very hardy."
I thought that the reference to planting it in cemeteries might be useful to know in the case of white foundlings from US cemeteries. Dingees have it under Teas, although it is usually listed as a China. Perhaps it is intermediate.
