'Prairie Gold' was the working name for this rose - it was released as 'Summer Honey'.

Here in central Florida we have had many weeks of above average rainfall with high humidity. Yet this variety is very clean, showing no signs of disease.

I'm going to guess that 57R51 is (Fandango (hybrid tea, Swim, 1950) × Florence Mary Morse). This is just my wild guess. Its too bad Summer Honey did so poorly here. I bet its better suited in a less humid, colder climate.

My general feeling =
Golden Showers + Black Spot + Mildew = Summer Honey.
The pros: It tried to grow while everything was dormant, including through the snow. The yellow is really pretty and airy. Good vigor.
The cons: Other than disease... blooms whiten within 1 day flat and the class should be more like short climber or something. Golden Wings is a large shrub, but this is not. It wants to warp and bend everywhere, lol.
