Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1947).
Introduced in France by Meilland Richardier in 1947 as 'Virgo'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1948 as 'Virgo'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'Virgo'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
White.  Mild fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Medium-large, very double, spiral centers bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Matte foliage.  

Height: 2' to 32" (60 to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
