Hmmm. There are apparently two Meilland roses named White Majesty. The White Majesty (MEIblonver) on this database shows its parentage as Emily Post x White Success in the listed patent application (US Patent No. PP 7,811, granted 1990).

However, in the bareroot inventory currently in nurseries through Star Roses, Meilland is distributing a different rose named White Majesty (MEIwimova) with a different patent application. (US Patent No. PP 18, 691, granted 2005). See:
http://www.google.com/patents/about?id=8TWoAAAAEBAJ&dq=meiwimova
See also, the current 2010 Star Roses catalog which says,

"A mutation of the popular florist rose Paris d’Yves
St. Laurent®, White Majesty™ is more vigorous than
its parent. The pure white blooms on this striking
Hybrid Tea contrast beautifully with the very dark
glossy foliage. This rose is ideal for cutting, with long
strong stems that offer full and extraordinarily longlasting
displays, in the garden and in the vase.
❖ Denomination / Patent: ‘Meiwimova’ PP#18691"

Aargh!

p.s. It also appears that all of the photos shown on this photo tab for White Majesty are of the Paris De Yves St Laurent sport, i.e. the later of the two White Majesties. Anyone grow a "White Majesty" rose that they obtained before 2005 who can tell us what it looks like or can post a picture of it? I believe my photos (and my plant) are the later one. My plant was obtained from Roses Unlimited in the summer of 2009.

Aargh! is right! It's not as if the name White Majesty is going to sell the rose above a new name. I can't believe that Meilland's marketing folks couldn't come up with another name that would be attractive to consumers. Now we have more unnecessary confusion over two different white HT's -- and all the fault of the breeder. Shameful!

Yes, I'll stick to old roses; the names/IDs are a shambles, but at least it's a mostly honest shambles.

Oh great. Another recycled name. Too bad no one can think of new names. I'm sure you know that the Star Roses website does not always have the most accurate Breeder Code Names, spelling and patents; still, it looks like you've nailed this one. Modern Roses Database shows 2006 as the date of introduction of White Majesty 06 in France, so the pictures could definitely be the new rose.

Yes, it's a real pain with recycled names. That also probably means the AEN is wrong, and this rose should not be exhibited under the name "White Majesty," but of course it will be. Anyone know how long the AEN "White Majesty" has been around?

What is HMF's policy on such things? Should the White Majesty HMF listing now get split into 2 listings, say White Majesty 1990 and then the newer White Majesty just taking the name of the currently marketed cultivar under that name? That would probably make sense here. If so, the contents of the lineage tab should probably go with the older one, and everything else here with the newer one. The earliest picture on this listing is from Beth, who got her plant from Regan's in 2007 (or so she said on another forum).

There are many instances where one AEN applies to multiple roses - -tho usually where one of the two is no longer in commerce.

For now, HMF has separate rose pages for White Majesty 1990 and White Majesty 2006. You're right that the marketing information and photos probably need to be transferred. It's quite a process and will take a little time.

Now that HMF has separated the two "White Majesty" roses into separate listings, it appears that the photos stayed with the wrong listing. My rose White Majesty is the one that is a sport (for which HMF currently shows no pictures at all). In fact, it appears that all of the pictures listed on this White Majesty (the older florist rose with the lineage Emily Post x White Success) actually belong with the other one (the Paris d'Yves St. Laurent sport).

White MAJESTY is at SummerWinds Nursery in Palo Alto, CA for $30 in the bush form. The blooms were very nice and a true white color. Does anyone know when this rose was bred??
