'Eyeconic ® Lemonade' rose Reviews & Comments

In my experience this plant is not very vigorous, but perhaps it just doesn't like the location I've given it. It gets blackspot very easily in my humid conditions, so if you live somewhere humid be prepared to dole out the fungicide on a regular basis. It does bloom consistently, and the hulthemia blotch is always noticeable-- I'm willing to put up with its undesirable proclivities to get those exotic-looking flowers. But, since it's the only hulthemia hybrid I've grown, I don't really know how it stacks up against its brethren.

Dear HMF,
EYECONIC(r) Meipouzmoi and EYECONIC(r) Lemonade Sprolem are not the same variety as the varietal name shows it. It is two distinct variety, the first one breed in France by Meilland, the second in California by Sproul.
Thanks for correcting it. Cheers Matthias Meilland

Thank you for the correction. Can you give us a breeding year for Meipouzmoi?

I received a pre release plant of this gorgeous rose which had sat in a bucket of water for several months. I planted it and the thing exploded! Beautiful, spotless foliage in my California climate. Continuous flowering with a lovely scent. This one takes Hulthemias from the "botanical oddity" category and puts them squarely in "garden roses". Bravo, Jim Sproul!
