According to Jürgen Weihrauch the plant shown here - all photos - is not Engeline. Engeline is not a Centifolia, it is a hybrid of 'Violacea'!

Maybe the photo of Jedmar is right?

Probably not! They have confused the label at Labenz, as Weihrauch told me.

It would be a short-cut to solve this, if Mr. Weihrauch would upload some photo's of (t)his rose himself.
If possible: flowers, buds, plant-habit, foliage, prickles, hips, etc.
The only-one selling this rose is Myrosesde. Did all the wrong plants come from them?

I just talked to Mr. Weihrauch: He never intended to bring this rose into commerce. This was done by Labenz. Therefore he doesn't have own photos. He says, the only correct photo is the one from:
"Rose photo courtesy of myrosesde
L'age bleu Rosenpark Labenz
Uploaded 19 JUN 13"
He confirmed again, it is a seedling of 'Violacea'.

Parentage added and Centifolia corrected to Gallica.
