p35. Helen White. Five Favourite Small Roses. 'Modern Miss' This delightful pink rose bred in the South Island is a real charmer in the garden. Although the blooms are smaller, they are of a good shape and the bush has remained relatively disease free. This would make an ideal rose to grow in a smaller garden, as it repeats quickly and gives plenty of blooms for picking.

p85. Peter Elliott. In the Trial Grounds. David Benny for 'Modern Miss' (CAMpink). a delightful pink HT - looked a winner from day one. I like it so much I've bought two bushes. Exhibitors take note - it would look fabulous in a basket.

p107. Peter Bamber. Review of the Newer Roses for the 2004-2005 Season. Hybrid Teas.
'Modern Miss' (CAMpink) Benny 2002: Only three reports with a garden rating of 8.5, and exhibition rating of 8.0. I thought it worth a mention. I saw this rose at the Trial Ground Awards in 2003 and on that day it stood out like a beacon covered in bright pink flowers that looked to have show bench potential. As the Manawatu grower said, every rose garden should have one.
