Either the date of introduction (1933) or the lineage (Mme. Butterfly x Gorgeous) is wrong as 'Gorgeous' was introduced in 1956. US patent shows 1957.

Is it possible that Bohm used the sport parent of 'Gorgeous', 'Pink Delight'? 'Pink Delight' was introduced in 1936, but Kordes might have shared it before that date.

I wish we knew more about Jan Bohm. Might someone from Central Europe be willing to post a brief article about Mr. Bohm and his roses?

Clearly not the 1956 'Gorgeous'. We have replaced the erroneous parentage with Dickson's 1915 yellow, shaded orange HT 'Gorgeous'. I've had a tiny search for info on Jan Bohm, but not much on file. Over to others on this.	REPLY

Thanks Virginia. I have put that link under Bohm and Brada. Not the ideal way to go, but in peak spring, I am reluctant to lose such good information.	REPLY
