Besides the homestead roses, many roses in our collection from Sacramento Cemetery plant sales are known by their study names until positively identified. “Elizabeth’s China” is an excellent prototype of Sacramento’s legacy roses. Growing on the grave of Elizabeth Stober (1794-1881), the red rose is similar to the China rose ‘Cramoisi Supérieur’, but seasoned experts still have doubts. Regardless, the rose blooms abundantly and is maintenance free.
