Sweet Mademoiselle needs a lot of water to produce its many petals. It produces 4 blooms per flush in partial shade (morning sun). It survived my zone 5a winter 2020 with more than a foot of green cane. The older Meilland Sweet Promise 2007 had a better apple-blossom scent and bloomed more. Sweet Mademoiselle has chubby thorns but spaced far apart. The pros: its petals are very firm and blooms last 5 days in the vase. The scent is strong nectarine & better than Pat Austin.

My Sweet Mademoiselle gotten from Otto & Sons is two years old and it is now over 6 feet tall. The description has it 43 inches. I think that is incorrect for a So. CA area with rain this year. It is very lovely this hot summer with blooms during 100 degrees.
