Sweet M. lasts long in the vase with its firm petals. The scent is nectarine. The plant is low-thorn and needs more water to produce blooms. Survived my zone 5a winter with 1 foot of green cane (winter-protected with a thin layer of leaves).

2nd-year own root Sweet M, pic. taken 7/31/20. It's 3 feet wide and tall with 15+ buds in 4 hrs. of morning sun. VIGOROUS Sweet M. is six times bigger than own-root Peter Mayle.

Sweet M. doing cluster blooming in only 4 hours of morning sun. VERY VIGOROUS & BIG BUSH as own-root in alkaline & heavy clay. Zone 5 winter survival is excellent (more than foot of green cane).
