"Grandma Pfeilers" can produce big clusters of flowers. The flowers are very pale at the moment. Plant from Rustons via John Nieuwesteeg. My garden at Mount Macedon, Australia, 10 Jan 2021.

South Australia, zone 9b, early autumn. In the Blakiston schoolhouse garden. About 1m high, has flushes of large sprays. A desirable garden plant, with a wonderful scent. No black spot although nearby HPs have it. I haven't grown Laurent Carle so I can't speculate on whether it's this rose.

'Laurent Carle' for comparison with "Grandma Pfeilers". The prickles are the same shape and size as on "Grandma Pfeilers" and will mature to the same red-brown. Plant from Rustons via John Nieuwesteeg. My garden at Mount Macedon, Australia, 10 Jan 2021.
