Discovered by Unknown (1789). Introduced in United Kingdom by Henry Shailer in before 1805 as ' Rosa muscosa provincialis var. flore pallido Andr.'. Introduced in Australia by Northampton Nurseries in 1861 as 'Blush Moss'.
Bloom:
Blush, darker center. Medium to large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
It is not certain that Andrews was describing 'Blush Moss' with his "Pale-flowered variety", but the timing could fit.
