The current bloom is half dusky plum-colored and bright half peachy pink. Definitely something going on with this rose lol. Never seen a mauve rose sport that color before.
So my newer plant was blooming today. I wouldn't call this rose purple, and I wouldn't call it silvery lavender, either. It is also a color I haven't seen before. The form was nice, and the fragrance was also nice. Not quite as overpowering as 'Sweetness', but good enough. The petal face was a darker silvery lilac, and the petal reverse was a moderate plum tone. The overall shading was kind of an autumnal grey tone I have not seen in other mauves. I would describe the overall color as haunting. I liked it. It worked. It was different, but it works. Will hope to comment on the mature plant habit in a year or so.

Heirloom's site calls this exceptionally fragrant while the HMF lists it as moderate. Does anybody know which one is accurate and also the size of the blooms? Thanks!
