'Léa Mège ®' rose Description

Class:
Shrub. (Series: Les Provencelles ® Collection)
Bloom:
Dark purple. (pourpre velouté revers plus clair). Strong, fruity, raspberry fragrance. 60 to 70 petals. Average diameter 5". Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, fluted petals, old-fashioned bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium buds.
Habit:
Medium, upright. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 47" to 4¼' (120 to 130cm). Width: 31" to 39" (80 to 100cm).
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders or container rose. Hardy. vigorous. plant in partial shade for best color. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant, very rust resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
