I had to mention this rose, as it had just won The NZ Rose of the Year Award at Rogers Rose Garden in Hamilton, as well as the people's choice award. In the trials here, it managed 60.7 score over two years of trialling, a true test of a roses performance across seasons and years. The telling blow for this rose was the poor flowering repeat, poor habit and disease issues. The flowers were  of a clear soft to medium pink and were attractively shown off with the glossy dark green foliage. On this performance it won't be entering my garden.

Everlasting Hope SOMnatal.  This rose was named for Postnatal Depression Canterbury to publicise the amazing work that they do. These large gorgeous blooms are a soft medium pink, and strongly perfumed. The bush is tall and spreading, clothed in dark glossy foliage. Flower stems are of a good length making them great for picking. Shrub. Medium pink. Flower Size: 110-120mm. Petal Count: 30-35. Height: 1.5m. Spreading. Fragrance: 4. Disease Resistance: Good. Year of Release: 2018
