There is conjecture the R. Soulieana grown and used by Ralph Moore may be different from the traditional Soulieana due to its ability to produce repeat flowering seedlings in the first generation. There appear to have been one or two other repeat flowering, first generation seedlings raised from it, but in Mr. Moore's hands, they were more the rule, rather than the exception. See the photo posted June 5, 2016.

I would concur that Moore's putative soulieana differs as well, and wonder if a separate link for Ralph's putative... or "in commerce as..." would be in order. The species should have more glaucous foliage based on my readings, and the young stems typically would have a cool grey-blue bloom covering them. Moore's putative soulieana has stems that bronze in the sun, with none of the cool coloring. Another article making a similar argument can be found here:
