15 month old plant grown from a bare-root here in southern Cévennes 600m altitude dry and warm summers Zone 7A-7b (?). Lovely old rose flower shape very fragrant ( myrrh, sweet grapefruit or pineapple?). Very healthy and very vigorous and one of the first rose plants to flower here early May and in July still flowering. Colour - well for me it’s more peach certainly a peach centre even the label from NIRP says peach but listed as a white flower. The flowers stay healthy on the bush for what seems like 2 weeks or more even in temperatures of 30C and a great cut flower holding it’s scent for at least 5-6 days. Thoroughly recommend this modern floribunda even though I’m more a fan of heirloom varieties.

I notice the remarkably healthy foliage. Is the rose itself an especially healthy variety, or do you follow a special fertilizing protocol?

In reply to that very good question the gardens are in a national park so I have made the decision to limit ‘spraying’ using only natural ingredients mixed with the only ‘source’ of H2O here which is the spring water and to answer your question I fertilise the roses here with local dried sheep manure of which there is a good steady supply. With this particular rose variety being quite ‘modern’ you can see the very glossy foliage and in the breeder’s catalogue it states that it is a very disease resistant variety.
