Charles Mallerin, Tahiti, Capistrano:  These three roses have not yet produced blooms up to exhibition standards, but are definitely worth a place in any garden because of their full-blown beauty and their perfume. Each is a strong grower and flowers freely.

Capistrano: Very vigorous, tall grower. Disease free, leathery foliage. Lovely shaped large bright pink blooms. Strong fragrance. Some blooms quartered badly, but a lovely rose when it comes right.

Harry H. Hazlewood.  The New Roses of 1951. Capistrano (Morris, 1949). A richly fragrant bloom of 35 even bright rose petals which keep their colour well. The growth is vigorous with long, strong stems, but the colour would not gain many points for novelty. Awarded A.A.R.S. 1950.
