Bred by Irmtraud Rieck (Germany, 2010).
Introduced in Germany by Giessler Päonien in circa 2017 as 'Rhodonit'.
Class:
Hybrid rockii, Hybrid suffruticosa, Tree peony.  
Bloom:
Ruby-red or violet-red, darker flares.  Notched, wide petals; prominent yellow stamens surround pale green carpels.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Average diameter 8".  Large, single to semi-double, cupped, ruffled bloom form.  Early-to-mid.  
Habit:
Spreading, tall, upright.  

Height: up to 4¼' (up to 130cm).
