Hello Michael,

I stumbled across Coffee Break roses at a wholesale florist a few weeks ago and fell in love with the color! (reminded me of a sunset)

Do you grow this rose in the US? If so, what zone are you in, and have you planted yours in the ground or in a container?

I can see that the breeder is Rosen Tantau in Germany, but there are two codes for it: Tan03315 and Tan06050 (according to https://www.rosen-tantau.com/en/search?sSearch=coffee+break).

I would love to find a US source if possible. Unfortunately, I am not having much luck on google. Any advice?

Thanks,
JBNYC

As Comments on PHOTOS are often very hard to find later, I will respond further in MEMBERS COMMENTS for ‘Coffee Break’ (hybrid tea, Tantau 2003)

Hi, it is still carried by florists. You have to ask a specialized florist for it, and then root the stem(s).

It is a florist roses, so it is not a typical garden variety.

If it's imported, the chances are that it will have been dipped in weed-killer, to stop you doing that, for quarantine reasons.

It can. They can ask the florist if they know from their source.

I am guessing Cliff made his via this process. This was a few years back, though.

Only real option available. Not a simple one for sure!

Got it - sounds like quite a challenge, but not impossible!
Thanks Michael, Margaret, and Patricia for all your input :)
