Please help! We are desperately searching for one of these Ralph Moore miniature “Pink Poodle” roses, either to purchase a plant or cutting. This rose has extremely sentimental significance to my wife and a loved one lost and I’m trying to help her replace this little rose.

If you have any this rose in your garden and we can arrange to purchase a cutting, or if you know any possible leads on purchasing one of these, please, please let me know.

We’re in Houston — please let me know if you can help.

Thank you!

Darren ...

If you go to the rose page for 'Pink Poodle' and click the BUY FROM tab, you will see that Countryside Roses, located in Mississippi, is selling the rose. I just checked their website for availability and they show 'Pink Poodle' as available.

I would be happy to send you cuttings, but temps are high here and I think that would impact the viability of the cuttings as I live in the mountains and all mail goes down the mountain late in the afternoons and then is processed by a larger post office down in the valley. It's even hotter down there.

I think you are better off purchasing a plant from Countryside.

I am sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I haven't been reading my mail regularly.

Good luck.

I contacted the patent owner and haven't heard back from her. Right now, I only have two suggestions for you. If you can, call Greenheart Farms at 805-481-2234 as they may still have a few plants on the bench, but not enough to list the rose as available. They purchased Tiny Petals, the nursery founded by Dee Bennett, the breeder of the rose. A second option is to contact Burlington Rose Nursery ( They carry many of the roses from Greenheart Farms and have a working business relationship and may be able to help you.

I think it is a fine rose and worth the effort to get a plant. I am sorry for the loss of a dear friend and hope you can get the rose for a living memorial.
