ich habe wie Sie in meinem Garten eine Marie Robert stehen. darf ich Sie fragenwo Sie diese erstanden haben? Ein anderer Liebhaber und ich haben sie und sind uns nicht sicher, ob sie eine korrekte MR ist;-)

Here is a translation of the query for non-German speakers as it is of general interest:
"Hello, I have also a Marie Robert in my garden like you. May I ask you where you have purchased this? Another roselover and myself have it and we are not sure that it is a correct Marie Robert"
Was auffällt ist, dass Jäger die Noisette Marie Robert als in Sangerhausen vorhanden aufführt. Im Rosenverzeichnis 1976 ist gar keine Marie Robert zu finden und nun ist die Portland vorhanden. Also müsste die Rose in Sangerhausen sie eine Neuerwerbung sein, deren Herkunft zu bestimmen sein sollte.

Hallo Herr Amann,
die 'Marie Robert' wächst bei mir noch nicht so lange (seit Januar 2007). Sie hat noch nicht geblüht. Gekauft habe ich sie bei www.stauden-und-rosen.de

Gemäss Webseite von Stauden-und-Rosen stammt diese Rose von Weingart. Es wird dort schon eine Einschränkung gemacht, dass Marie Robert nicht nach Portland oder Damaszena aussieht und der Habitus wird mit Russeliana verglichen.

somit haben wir alle die Rose von Weingart bzw über Sangershausen. ich werde versuchen dort mehr herauszufinden. Hat jemand das Buch "The Quest for the Rose" ? Dort soll ein Foto enthalten sein...
Many thanks for your comments. We are searching for a photo of Marie Robert. Is there anybody who has the book "The Quest for the Rose "? We would like to compare a photo in it, with our roses which came from sangershausen....

Marie Robert - as it is on the picture from Ashdown - looks very similar to my Marie Robert. So I do not have any doubts further more. Thank you very much, jedmar :))

I do not want to dampen your enthusiasm, but to be really sure we need to know the source of Ashdown's rose resp. photo. It might be that they also cultivate a Sangerhausen descendant.

In Roger Phillips / Martyn Rix "The Quest for the Rose" there is a picture of Marie Robert, photographed at the Roserai de l'Hay. It's looks like the Rose we got from Weingart...
Ashdown became it's MR from a private person, who has a lot of roses from Sangershausen.
