Three women, three cultures, three stories of the twentieth century entwined in an enchanting maze of rose-lined paths with pergolas and seating. The stories, give a stunning interpretation of the journey of the Kojonup community through the poignant voices of its women, represented by Yoondi (Noongar), Elizabeth (English settler) and Maria (Italian migrant) and are a powerful message about the resilience of its people and their connection to the rich and rewarding beauty of their landscape. The Kodja Place Australian Rose Maze, a heartfelt community project, was built almost entirely by volunteers. 1400 roses line the pathways of the maze. A book about the maze, "Yoondi, Elizabeth & Maria - Three Women, Three Cultures, Three Stories" published in November 2014 includes a colour images of the 110 varieties of Australian bred roses. It also includes the three women's stories and a photographical journal of volunteers building and maintaining the maze.
