Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

This Rose Garden is an outstanding example of what a community can achieve with dedication and hard work. The garden started with a germ of an idea from a local councillor back in 1991, who worked with the Council of the day to achieve the vision.

A site was selected and a public meeting called in December 1991. From that meeting a Steering Committee was formed. This committee has been totally responsible for the project, comprising the design, fund raising, construction and on-going maintenance of the garden.

The Garden was officially opened in November 1992.

Gravel paths lead through a picturesque arrangement of garden structures - enhanced with 3000 rose bushes flourishing in four acres of parkland.

There are over 250 varieties of roses planted in 100 beds displaying individual colours. The delicate aroma of these blooms further enhance the beauty of the garden.

Careful selection has been made ensuring masses of colour and contrast. Varieties include traditional favourites and the latest new releases. The Garden contains Hybrid Teas, Miniatures, Floribundas, Climbers, Pillars, Weepers, Heritage, Old-fashioned, "David Austin" modern shrub roses, Ground Covers and oddities.

A specialised Australian and New Zealand breeders' section was planted out in 1994.

Apart from the feature beds, each bed is planted with a single variety of rose resulting in massed display of colour.

The garden is currently managed by a Community Committee with the Latrobe City Council responsible for the routine maintenance.

A very dedicated support group, "The Friends of the Garden", assist with the on-going specialist care of the roses.
