Is the garden ever open to the public - we have been reading about it in Cyril Fletcher's rose book of 1973, and read somewhere that it has been recently renovated. Thank you

My partner and I bought Lime Kiln House and Gardens in October 2002. The house was seriously dilapidated and so we have largely spent the last few years restoring the property and have had little time for the garden. However, last year we did begin work on tidying and cataloguing the rose specimens and were able to open the gardens in June for the Theatre Royal Appeal in Bury St Edmunds. This year we intend to open on Sunday 17th June 2007 from 11am to 6 pm for the NGS and on other dates by appointment. You may find our website (http://www.limekilnroses.co.uk/) of interest and we hope to update it with more information over the next few weeks.
We have spent some time researching the gardens and are always keen to find out more about its’ history. If you visited the property in the past, especially when Humphrey Brooke was alive, we would be very interested to hear from you. We are particularly keen to see any old photographs of how the garden looked during Humphrey’s time here and would be very grateful if you could help here.
Many thanks for your help.
Regards
Kathy
