I would love to find a few of those roses. I have noticed a couple of times, usually in an older garden that I am drooling over, that they have dates next to the listing (1950) is this just to let you know the garden is over 50 years old? Regards,

Sorry for the delay, yes HMF includes many "historical reference" garden listings. We have added a new garden type called historical reference but it will take a while update all the appropriate HMF entries.
