The Prince ® rose photo

My Favorite crimson English rose. In cool weather, the blooms are the closest to black of any rose I know. Very constant production. Always a heavy fragrance of damask nature with top tones of rasberrys and cut lemons. Sometimes entirely citrus. Reverses of petals very silver. In hot weather, almost white.

Fayetteville, AR Spring '07. This rose is changeable in color. From a soft orchid pink to a dark reddish magenta. Often the outer petals are darker than the inner ones. The inner petals are sometimes marked with a white stripe, like Papa Gontier.
