I grew up with roses. Mom had literally hundreds. She taught me most of what I know about roses and gardening in general. My favorite rose is probably Pinocchio because it has a lot of sentimental meaning. It was the first rose she planted in her brand new home in 1954 here in St. Clair Shores, MI and it's still here in the brand new raised rose bed I created last year when I inherited the house. It's dainty sweet scented blooms always remind me of her.
