Lee Sherman, creator of Lee Sherman's High Desert Garden, is Dean of the L.S. School of Gardening in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Although the focus of the curriculum is geared to the high desert climate, gardeners from other parts of the world will surely find practical ideas to take home with them, too. The program is based on the tenets laid out in two of Sherman's seminal treatises: The Profane Old Roses and Lee Sherman's Lazy Slut School of Gardening Basics.
