The Best of the New Roses.
Luciole — A new French Tea Rose, of much more than ordinary merit, very bright carmine rose, tinted and shaded with saffron, the base of the petals being copper yellow, with reverse a rosy bronze, large, pointed, very double, and very sweet scented; flower stem roughened like a moss-rose, the coloring is entirely new and very brilliant.  The open rose reminds one of a ripe, red peach.  15 cents.

Princess Alice de Monaco. A most charming new ever-blooming Rose that must take prominence for Summer bedding, as its habit is perfection, strong, upright growth, with clean, healthy foliage. The flowers are produced in wonderful profusion on long, straight shoots, are deliciously fragrant, large size, double to the center and of fine form, so that perfect flowers may be had during the hottest Summer days. The coloring is exquisite, a creamy-white on the outside of the petals, with a faint rosy-blush on the edges. As the flowers expand they disclose a charming shade of opaline-pink, deepening to rich blush. Price, 15 cents each; large two-year-old plants, 35 cents.

Floral Gems For Winter Flowering.
New Crimson Rose, Princess Sagan  The flowers of this variety are the richest crimson of any rose in our vast collection: a single bud or blossom will catch the eye at a great distance, so brilliant is the color. Indeed it is unmatched in its velvety richness; could be well termed "The Velvet Rose." It is as free in blooming as 'Bon Silene'. One of our customers in California writes that she is kept busy by people asking her what rose this is. Price, 15 cents each; large two-year-old plants, 30 cents."
