American Pride
Sport of "Grillodale"

"American Pride" is a sport of "Grillodale", which in turn is a sport of "Mme. Butterfly" and has been regarded by many horticulturalists, florists and societies as the queen of white roses, receiving many high awards.
Color: Beautiful pure white when mature.
Bud: Before opening, about two inches long and suffused with slight tint of pink, which adds to its beauty. Opens gradually and full into pure white.
Flower: Large, about four and one-half inches across. About thirty-five very large petals. Pleasing fragrance and excellent lasting quality.
Habit: Grows upright. Long and medium stout stems with very few thorns and an unusual number of large, leathery leaf branches of rich green color. A very prolific bloomer.

Emberglow

A hybrid tea that is large, well formed and pleasing in color. A most desirable rose, welcome in every rose lover's garden.
Bud: Long, pointed; opens gradually and full.
Flower: So large that in warm temperatures the stem bends over gracefully. About five inches across. Petals number about fifty. Pleasing fragrance and good lasting quality.
Color: Rich, salmon pink before opening, becoming, as its name implies, "Emberglow" in color as bud opens.
Habit: Grows upright. Abundance of long stems and large leathery foliage. A very prolific bloomer.

Grillodale

A beautiful, well-formed hybrid tea rose that has gained well-merited popularity, especially for garden culture. "Grillodale" is appreciated for use on so many occasions because of its beautiful, delicate pink color.
Color: Very light pink outside petals with center of deeper pink.
Bud: Long, pointed; opens gradually and full.
Flower: Large, borne singly; about four and one-half inches across. About fifty petals. Fragrant. Very good lasting quality.
Habit: Grows upright. Abundance of medium stems and wealth of dark green leathery foliage. A very prolific bloomer.

Jewel

"Jewel" is a hybrid tea rose, originated by N. Grillo. This rose possesses many of the characteristics of its parent, but differs from it in several important respects.
Color: Brilliant velvety red which is retained when flower is wide open.
Bud: Long, pointed; color slightly darker than the open flower. Opens gradually and perfectly.
Flower: Large and full when open, about five inches across. About forty-five petals. Heavy texture; broadly ovate shape; pleasing fragrance; very good lasting quality, surpassing its parent in this respect.
Habit: Grows upright; vigorous, with abundance of very strong stems and profusion of large leathery foliage. A free bloomer.

New Haven Queen

A beautiful, medium-size rose, highly desirable for center-piece use and for corsage work, as well as for medium-size stem cut flowers.
Color: Tangerine, very pleasing.
Bud: Tangerine (lightening as flower opens). Medium long, pointed and distinctive in shape. Opens gradually and perfectly.
Flower: Medium and full when open, about three and one-half inches across. About forty petals. Fragrant, good substance, and good lasting quality.

Regina Elena

"Regina Elena" is a hybrid tea rose. Rose enthusiasts have long sought a rose of the "Briarcliff" type but with deeper, more lasting color. "Regina Elena" fulfills this desire. Its distinguishing characteristics are firmly fixed.
Color: General effect is a uniform, dark rose pink, which remains the same color when flower is wide open.
Bud: Long, pointed; dark rose pink in color. Opens gradually and perfectly.
Flower: Large and full when open; about five inches across. About fifty petals of good substance. Pleasing fragrance and excellent lasting quality.
Habit: Grows upright; with abundance of very long and exceedingly stout stems and a profusion of dark green foliage. A free bloomer.

Sunnymount

This fine hybrid tea is similar to its parent, although it differs in a number of characteristics. After a long trial the originator has found it to be the most pleasing of yellow roses in his experience.
Color: Clear yelow (Buttercup), which is retained without fading.
Bud: Medium size; distinctive sharp pointed shape, but relatively short and with large base.
Flower: Medium size when open, about four inches across. About fifty petals.Good substance and exceptional fragrance.
Habit: Grows upright. More vigorous than its parent. Abundance of very long, straight stems with luxuriant green leathery foliage. A free and continuous bloomer.
