Thank you for this article. I live in Southern California very close to the ocean. Our rainy winter season is beginning and I've lost many potted rose bushes due to the cold and too much rain. My roses are still blooming, but are fewer and are discolored by the rain but bringing them indoors will solve those problems.

Thanks! I guess you are referring to the growing roses indoors article? If so have fun....doing it saved my psyche during many a LONG Denver winter! Just be sure to use a HOT south or west window. Pick up a copy of the January/February 'Fine Gardening' and perhaps you'll enjoy my article on pillar roses. happy gardening! John
