CURLY WHITE. HT. (Frank Spanbauer '52.) Unnamed seedling X unnamed seedling. Medium, semi-double flowers of white with pale lemon centers and curly petal tips. Delicious apple fragrance. Leathery foliage. Vigorous, upright, bushy habit, 2 1/2 feet. Profuse, continuous bloom.

The Milwaukee Journal - Nov 17, 1957 Originators of fine roses received awards at the recent fall convention of the American Rose society at Old Point Comfort, Va.
Frank Spanbauer, Decatur, Ill., won the John Cook medal for his White Butterfly, a greenhouse rose.
