Nevo was 18 years old when he started gardening, he trained in the nurseries of Giv'at Brenner and Kvutzat Kinneret...Until 1946 he instructed people in how to grow roses at various locations in the country before arriving at Ma'oz Hayyim, where he specialized in rose propagation.
