Hello,

I still have it, and it hasn't bloomed. One of the repeat blooming seedlings went to Arizona to a woman. She said it bloomed, then died.

The reason that it hasn't bloomed is because it keeps getting hacked down. My family hires an old man to trim the plants and keep the place nice and clean. However, when I'm not around... he hacks this seedling down. It's pretty and kept... but it wants to be a big plant.

I'm trying to find it a place where I can take care of it, but not let it cut down.

This is also what's happening to my Pacific Serenade seedlings. Beautiful plants, but the man can't understand that just because it creeps out of the bed doesn't make it messy.

Thank You for Your reaction! A very nice story to read, but it must be frustrating for You to experience so much ignorance by the attempt keeping the garden tidy by this "gardener" through annihilating the growth over and over again.
I would be curious how its flower are, for there are only two known first generation seedlings from Constance Spry, that do not originate from Austin and two from Austin.
There are lots of offspring in later generations.
I'll see what mine does. It's still growing well. And temps are rising, so it can be hardened outside to withstand the elements.

I can send you cuttings, maybe they will root and bloom. Let me see if it's possible. I would love it get a chance to bloom. I know one seedlings that died years ago did have that myrrh fragrance and was a very soft lavender pink color.

Thank You for the kind offer!
...But it's almost impossible to send cuttings from the United States to Europe and vice versa, due to regulations to prevent diseases. The fines for sending unregistered plantmaterial are very high I'm told. So maybe You can find someone in the States, that will be more than happy, to give Your seedlings' siblings a new home to prosper and bloom... or place a fence or poles around it, so it won't be molested and can climb into it. Enjoy looking!

Hello, it's me again... Enrique.
I have more plants that I want to add to my listings:

1.) Sutter's Gold X Compassion
2.) Crested Jewel X seedling
3.) Livin' Easy X Robusta

I also have a problem. I don't see my seedling, "Pillow Fight X seedling" listed when I click my name. I see the listing, and I've uploaded my pictures today. But it's not linked to my name yet...

Thanks...

Turns out you need to specifically assign a class of "Unknown" for the plants to show up in the class reports.

Hello, yeah-- I'm set. I listed "seedling" for the openly pollinated roses because I don't know how to list them. I guess the obvious answer should have been "unknown." I always had a thing against the "selfed" option for openly pollinated seedlings because you just don't know if they're selfed or not. Thank you for helping me out... oy-- one more thing, if you don't mind. If I do decide to change a name (in case I find a nursery who is willing to sell my roses...) How would I change their names? But, maybe I'm ahead... I'm just breeding for now for fun. The profit part should be in the future. thanks... ciao, C Enrique MR

As the "owner" of these listings, you can click on the "Name:" section heading to change the name.
