Thomas Robinson (1879 Barrow upon Soar, Leis. - September 26, 1934). Nurseryman since 1887, when he joined Harry Lee in partnership at the Porchester Nurseries. Succeeded after his death in 1934 by his son Thomas Robinson (1904  - November 1978). The latter's son Thomas Robinson moved to Guernsey in the early 1980s. [From Gardening Illustrated, 1923, p. 582:] In the class for the best collection of cut Roses the first prize and the challenge cup went to Mr. Thomas Robinson, Nottingham.
