Hi I am from Timaru, in the South Island of New Zealand. In the 1960’s my great great Uncle had a rose registered that was a colour sport of Lady Mandeville. He named it Gleniti Gold. I have been told that the rose was registered with the ARS by a Trevor Griffiths (famous Rosarian) who was an employee at the time and has since passed away. My great great uncle was named Archibald Andrew Bone and he was the owner of Arborvitae Nursery John Bone & Sons, Gleniti, Timaru from about the 1950’s. The nursery was run by his father since about 1915. I am really interested to find out anything I can about the rose and if you could help me with finding the details of the original registration I would be most appreciative. In addition, if there were any photos supplied at the time would be great. If there is any further information you need please let me know. If you can put me in touch with anyone who could help that would be great. I have recently had the rose Gleniti Gold revivied and brought back to life for our family as sadly it was long forgotten when my great great uncle died in 1974. Kind regards Debbie Donaldson
